अन्वय-

वाक्य के विभिन्न शब्दों में व्याकरण के नियमों के अनुसार एकरूपता को अन्वय कहते हैं। वाक्य में प्रयुक्त शब्दों के वचन, लिंग, काल, पुरुष आदि का क्रिया के साथ अनुकरणात्मक मेल होना आवश्यक है।

१. कत्र्ता के साथ यदि कारकचिह्ण  न लगा हो, तो क्रिया कत्र्ता के अनुसार होती है। जैसे-

'रामू घर जाता है।

'शीला घर जाती है।

2.  यदि कत्र्ता के साथ कारक-चिहन प्रयुक्त हों, तो क्रिया कर्म के अनुसार होती है। जैसे-

'राम ने निबंध् पढ़ा।

'राम ने कहानी पढ़ी।

इसी प्रकार - 'राम ने रोटी खार्इ।

'राम ने आम खाया।

3.  यदि कत्र्ता और कर्म दोनों ही कारक चिहन युक्त हों तो क्रिया हमेशा पुलिलंग एकवचन होती है। जैसे-

'राम ने शीला को किताब दी।

'राम ने श्याम को किताब दी।
